Bible Verse
Colossians 3:15 KJV
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."
(And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful. NLT)
Reflection
Peace is not passive. It is not the absence of conflict or the quiet that follows resolution. The peace of God is active—it rules. It takes its place in our hearts like a steady guide, a holy authority, a gentle ruler who knows what belongs and what does not.
We are called to live in this peace—not just individually, but together. One body. One shared life. One Spirit who knits us into unity. And in that unity, thankfulness becomes the rhythm. Gratitude is not an afterthought—it is the posture of those who have surrendered to peace.
This verse reminds me that peace is not something I must create or protect. It is something I must let rule. I must make room for it. I must yield to it. I must allow it to shape my responses, my relationships, my inner life. And when I do, I find myself drawn into the deeper harmony of Christ—where peace and thankfulness walk hand in hand.
Prayer
Quiet the voices that stir unrest, and calm the places that resist surrender.
Make me a part of Your body in love, not just in name.
Teach me to live in peace with others, not by avoiding tension, but by yielding to You.
And let thankfulness rise in me—not as a duty, but as a natural response to Your presence.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Let peace be the voice I listen to, and gratitude the song I carry.
