Bible Verse
("If you need wisdom - if you want to know what God wants you to do - ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking." NLT)
Reflection
There are moments when we simply do not know what to do next. The path ahead feels unclear, our thoughts feel scattered, and our own understanding falls short. James reminds us that we are not expected to navigate life by our own wisdom. God invites us to ask — not timidly, not apologetically, but confidently — because He gives generously and without resentment.
When we come to Him for wisdom, we are coming to the One who sees the whole picture, the One who knows the way forward, the One who delights in guiding His children. He does not scold us for needing help. He does not remind us of what we “should have known.” He simply gives.
It is something we receive.
And God gives it freely to the heart that asks.
Prayer
You see what I cannot see,
You know what I cannot know,
and You understand every step before me.
Guide my thoughts, steady my heart,
and show me the way that honors You.
Thank You for giving generously,
for never turning me away,
and for leading me with love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Breath Prayer
Inhale: Lord, give me wisdom
Exhale: and guide my steps
