Psalm 33:22 KJV

"Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee."

("Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone." NLT)

Reflection

Hope is not something we manufacture; it is something we lean into. This verse reminds us that God’s mercy meets us in the very measure that we place our trust in Him. As our hope rises, His mercy surrounds. As our confidence in Him deepens, His unfailing love becomes the atmosphere we live in.

We don’t have to be strong to receive His mercy — we simply have to turn toward Him. Hope is the quiet posture of a heart that believes God will be faithful again today. It is the steady gaze that looks beyond circumstances and rests in His character.

Wherever you find yourself this morning — weary, waiting, uncertain, or quietly grateful — let your hope settle in Him. His mercy is not thin or fragile. It is abundant, present, and perfectly timed. And He delights to cover those who trust in Him.

Prayer

Lord, let Your mercy rest upon me today.
Surround me with Your unfailing love.
Teach my heart to hope in You alone.
Steady my thoughts, quiet my fears,
and let Your faithfulness be the place I stand.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
