A visual of hiddenness and divine shelter.
Bible Verse
Psalm 91:1 KJV
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
Reflection
There is a hidden life with God that the world cannot see.
Psalm 91:1 invites us into that secret place — not a location, but a posture of the heart. It is the quiet turning toward Him, the steady leaning of our weight upon His strength.
To “abide under the shadow of the Almighty” is to live beneath His nearness, His covering, His steadying presence. Shadows move with the One who casts them; so does His protection.
When we feel exposed, weary, or uncertain, this verse whispers a gentle truth:
You are not out in the open. You are held.
The secret place is not earned. It is entered. It is the simple, daily choosing to dwell — to stay close, to rest, to trust.
Selah.
Prayer
El Shaddai, draw me into Your secret place.
Teach my heart to dwell, not wander.
Let Your shadow be my shelter and my peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Stay near. The shelter is real.
