No... we did Not remember. We acted hastily. We panicked. We 'lost it'! Our heart is revealed.  Wow, how disappointed we are in ourselves.  Our first reaction reveals our true heart stance...  Do we have confidence in the strength and sovereignty of our Almighty God?  Do we stand on His promises? Do we hold on to our faith when a calamity strikes? Do we remember Him?  Do we remember that He is our Creator? Do we Know down deep in our hearts that He is All Powerful? Do we remember His promises? Do we truly believe? We can be upset about the circumstances...
