Mar 1: Psalm 34:3 - Let Us Praise Him - Together (Daily Verse & Prayer)

The Quill and Me—Devotional Blog•Oswald Chambers Reflections  Today's Devotional • Back to Home Page Bible Verse Psalm 34:3 KJV "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together." Reflection This little verse feels like an open door into shared worship. It reminds us that praise was never meant to be a solitary act tucked away in our own corners of life. When we magnify the Lord, we are enlarging our awareness of Him—lifting our gaze from what drains us, what wears us down, what pulls at our strength—and turning our eyes toward His steady goodness. And when we exalt His name together, something beautiful happens: our individual weariness is met by a collective strength. The burdens we carry alone feel lighter when our voices rise with others who know the same faithful God. This is the quiet invitation of the verse—come, let us lift Him high, side by side, heart by heart, breath by breath. Praise becomes a shared shelter, a place where we remember who He is a...

Feb 22: Psalm 29:2 - Worship (Daily Verse & Prayer)

The Quill and Me—Devotional Blog•Oswald Chambers Reflections Today's Devotional • Back to Home Page Bible Verse Psalm 29:2 KJV "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." ("Give honor to the Lord for the glory of His name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness." NLT) Reflection Worship is our quiet offering of love back to the One who has given us everything. Psalm 29:2 reminds us that God is worthy of glory simply because of who He is — holy, faithful, and full of beauty beyond our understanding. True worship isn’t complicated. It isn’t loud or elaborate. It is the simple turning of the heart toward God in reverence and gratitude. When we pause long enough to notice His goodness, we begin to see the beauty of His holiness shining through even the ordinary moments of our day. To worship in the “beauty of holiness” is to come before Him with a clean, open heart — not perfect, but sincere. It is choosing...

Feb 15: Revelation 4:11 - Worship (Daily Verse & Prayer)

Bible Verse Revelation 4:11 KJV "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Reflection Revelation 4:11 reminds us that worship is not something we manufacture — it is the natural response of a heart that remembers who God is. He is worthy because He is the Creator. He is worthy because everything exists by His will. And He is worthy because our very breath is held in His hands. When life feels scattered or small, this verse gathers us back into the center of truth: We belong to the One who made all things, and our purpose is found in His pleasure, not in the world’s attention. Resting in that brings a quiet strength. Prayer Lord, You alone are worthy of glory, honor, and power. You created all things, and You hold all things together — including me. Teach my heart to rest in Your greatness and to find joy in belonging to You. Let my life reflect Your beauty and Your purpose...

Feb 8: Psalm 95:6 - Let Us Worship Him (Daily Verse & Prayer)

Bible Verse Psalm 95:6 KJV "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker." Come, let us worship Him our Creator. We are His people, watched over and cared for. Like sheep under His hand, we rest in His keeping. Let us lift our voices in praise, for our God is truly an awesome God. Prayer Lord, You are gracious and kind, a God of mercy and great love. We are blessed to belong to such an awesome God who cares for us beyond understanding. I can never repay what I've been given. Help me honor You, praise You, love You, and offer You my utmost in response to all you do. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.  Breath Prayer Inhale: Our God  Exhale: is an awesome God ~ Quil Share God with someone today: The Quill and Me—A Devotional Blog... Jan 06 — Abram Built An Altar And Worshiped The Lord

The Quill and Me—Devotional Blog•Oswald Chambers Reflections  Today's Devotional • Back to Home Page Jan 06 Today's Reflection from My Utmost for His Highest Genesis 12:8 "After that, Abram traveled southward and set up camp in the hill country between Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar and worshiped the Lord."  Abram Built An Altar and Worshiped the Lord Worship: Giving to God the best that He has given you. What do you do with your best? Do you hoard it, hide it, or give it away?  When you receive a blessing from God, take the time to pray and meditate before Him and offer the blessing back to Him as an act of worship. If we keep it for our self, it will spoil, as the manna did when it was kept overnight. (Exodus 16:20). But if you return it to God, He can use it to bless others. How do we worship God? When God told Abram (whose name was later changed to Abraham) to leave his country, his relatives and his father's house and go to t...
