It was a supernatural calm, the kind that smooths the tarmac of your soul so you can walk through a moment without fear. A Place Where Your Soul Can Breathe The invitation is from Jesus to all those that carry burdens, all who are weary, anyone who longs for that unexplainable "rest" you hear so much about in Scripture. Come to Him and receive it.  Rest is the supernatural calm Christ places inside you. It is the quiet confidence that He has your back, your front, and your side. He will take care of you. You stay completely calm inside because you are resting in Him. But sometimes something tries to disturb that rest. It may be a sudden thought, a misunderstanding, or a feeling that comes out of nowhere. It may be something small — but you feel it. The calm inside you ripples just a little. Daily Verse Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Jesus assures us that He is humble and gentle. His yoke fits perfectly, and His burden is light. If you are weary from carrying what weighs you down, let Him teach you, and lay your burdens at His feet. Come to Jesus and find rest for your soul. Its words have comforted countless hearts through seasons of joy and sorrow. In these verses, David paints a picture of the Lord as our Shepherd—guiding, protecting, and providing for us. As we walk through this psalm together, may its truth remind us that God’s care is both personal and eternal. Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He doesn’t ask us to be strong before coming to Him — He welcomes us in our weariness, carrying our burdens just as we are. Rest in His presence is not simply physical relief, but a deep peace that quiets the soul. The wooden cross necklace and paper flowers beside the journal remind us that surrender is both a symbol and a practice. Writing down our burdens, naming them, and placing them before the Lord is a way of releasing what we cannot carry alone. Today, let us accept His invitation to rest, trusting that His mercy is greater than our weariness. Prayer Lord, I bring you my weariness.  Refresh my spirit and give me strength...
