Where I End and He Begins

Repentance

Complete repentance comes only when we reach the point of absolute helplessness. It is not a feeling of sinfulness — it is the deep, inward realization that we are utterly unworthy. We come face‑to‑face with the truth that we are not even worthy to carry His sandals. There is no defense left in us. No argument. No self‑explanation. Only unworthiness.

Have we come to this point yet? Or is there still a small corner inside us that believes it can defend itself — justify itself — explain itself?

If so, that is the very reason God cannot come into my life and do His work. As long as I hold onto even a shred of self‑defense, His way is blocked.

We must come to the realization that we are but dust in the wind — 

dust that God Himself shaped, 

dust He breathed life into. 

Without Him, 

we are nothing. 

We are
Nothing. 
Without. 
God.

Repentance is the moment we come to the end of ourselves so that He can begin. It is the doorway through which He enters to do everything that makes us worthy. He will baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He will. Not us. Him.

We cannot fix ourselves. We cannot redeem ourselves. We cannot make ourselves holy or presentable before the throne of God. Only Jesus can do these things. We need Him for the very breath in our lungs.

We are made from the ground we walk upon. The world will one day pass away, but His Word will never pass away. So we must choose: Do we want to go with Him, or with the world?

If we want Him, then we must let Him come and save us, sanctify us, and burn away everything that blocks His path.

Are We Prepared for His Coming?

Jesus cannot do His work in me as long as anything — good or bad — stands in His way. Everything must go. Am I prepared for Him to shine His piercing light upon anything and everything I have ever done? Because when He arrives, He stands directly upon my life.

If I cannot recognize my need for repentance — my need to be cleansed — my need for His righteousness — then His way remains blocked. But when I reach that point, when I finally see myself as I truly am, that is where I end and He begins.

Repentance is not humiliation. 

It is the moment the door opens and God Himself steps in.

It is the beginning of everything.

Breath Prayer

The sweetest thing 
Is having the Lord in my life.

And the Lord may say to you… 

Now, be still. 

Let Me do the work. 

Let Me be God. 

And you… just be still and know that I AM God.
