What Our Hearts Reveal
When A Crisis Rises
When we are afraid...
Oh, the joy Christ must have when we remember, He is in control and we have nothing to fear.
He has overcome the world!
Oh! No... we did Not remember. We acted hastily. We panicked. We 'lost it'! Our heart is revealed.
Wow, how disappointed we are in ourselves.
Our first reaction reveals our true heart stance...
Do we have confidence in the strength and sovereignty of our Almighty God?
Do we stand on His promises?
Do we hold on to our faith when a calamity strikes?
Do we remember Him?
Do we remember that He is our Creator?
Do we Know down deep in our hearts that He is All Powerful?
Do we remember His promises?
Do we truly believe?
We can be upset about the circumstances. We can be sad and cry and still stand in the knowledge that He has everything under control.
We don't lose our faith or confidence in God because of the circumstance or crisis. We just let the moment take a bite out of us, acknowledge it, and let it settle on us.
Then we make an adjustment in our thinking, knowing and remembering that God is in control.
And since He is in control then there is a purpose behind it all.
We look to Him for our strength and guidance during the storm.
We ride it out, confident He will see us through it.
Let us not be: O you of little faith...
Stand strong. Be confident in the Lord your God.
Rest in the knowledge that nothing is beyond God's ability.
He is able, true, and faithful.
God is omnipresent —everywhere...
Fully present in every place.
He is omnipotent — all-powerful, nothing limits His ability...
He creates, sustains, commands, and governs all things.
God is omniscient — all-knowing...
He knows: every thought, tear, fear, need, creature, moment, and every future outcome.
He is omnibenevolent — perfectly good...
His nature is love, mercy, justice, and holiness...
none contradicting the other—they all work together.
He alone is worthy, He alone can calm the storm.
With His word He created the universe.
Do you believe?
Rest in God.
Peaceful resting in God is oneness with Him.
Be a joy to Him.
