Today's Reading: My Utmost for His Highest
Matthew 7:11
". . . how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?"

Your Father Is in Complete Control

In Matthew 7:11 Jesus is teaching us about God's character. God the Father. Our heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts to His children. Christians are the children of God. 

Our heavenly Father is omnipotent and omnipresent. He knows all and sees all. He knows what you need and He is able to provide for you because the world is His. But He knows what is best also. 

God the Father is the orchestrator of our world. He is the conductor of our days. He is the architect of our life. He is in complete control. He is in the details of your life. 

We should always keep God in the forefront of our mind. When trouble comes He is the place you need to run to. Do not take your troubles to anyone else, for they have not the power to control anything.

Fill your mind with the thought that God is there with you at all times. And we must fill our minds with the concept that God has divine control over everything. That is why we can have perfect trust in Him for all our needs and concerns. There is no need to fret about anything because God delights in disrupting well made plans. He is in control, nothing happens unless it is His will.

That is why you hear the saying "God willing." We should know that making plans without including God in them is a no-no.   

We fill our minds with the concept of divine control and stop going from person to person consulting with people about our concerns. Go straight to God with everything. 

No matter what the circumstance we put our full trust and hope in God. 

We pray and hold fast to our faith in the Father who loves us.

We ask Him for strength and guidance and the faith and trust we need. 

We stand in the knowledge that we know Him. His will is behind all things.

His will. Not something random but something purposeful. 

A person and a reason behind everything. 

Pray and acknowledge Him in all things. 
Ask Him for what you need, He is always just a breath away. 

Your Father in Heaven already knows all about it, a talk with Him is your next step.  

Prayer

Father, You are in complete control of my life. You see every need, every concern, every detail, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. Teach me to trust Your hand more than my own understanding. Quiet my heart when I am tempted to run to people instead of running to You. Steady my mind when worry rises, and remind me that Your will is never random — it is purposeful, loving, and wise.

Help me to keep You at the forefront of my thoughts. Let Your presence be my refuge, Your wisdom my guide, and Your sovereignty my peace. Strengthen my faith so I may rest in the truth that You are always near, always aware, and always working for my good.

I acknowledge You in all things. Shape my desires, direct my steps, and align my heart with Your will. You are my Father, and You already know all about it — so I bring everything to You now.

“God willing” / His will behind all things

Go straight to God / ask Him for what you need
Philippians 4:6–7 — In everything, by prayer… let your requests be made known to God.

Psalm 145:18–19 — He is near to all who call upon Him… He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him.

He already knows
Matthew 6:8 — Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
