Today's Reading: My Utmost for His Highest
Joshua 24:19
"Joshua said to the people, 'You cannot serve the Lord . . .'"
The One Who Found Me
I cannot serve Him in my own strength. I am not worthy, my strength is weak, my faith falters, and my trust wavers. But when I draw on the grace of God, I am supplied with His strength, His faith, His trust, His holiness, His worthiness, and His grace. I put myself in the position to be used by Him. His life lived through me. I serve by letting His light shine through Him in me.
He makes me holy because He is working the very nature of Jesus Christ into me. Jesus Christ is Lord of my life. I believe He can be to me all that He says He will be. I am standing in the strength of His faith, and He is able. I believe everything in the Bible is true — that God is all-powerful and nothing can shake the faith of God. I am standing on His faith, not my own.
I stand in truth before Him. I have released all of my burdens to Him — every worry, every anxious thought, every concern I have carried for so long. I gathered them up and laid them at the foot of His throne. I left them there. I asked Him to take them, and He lifted them. My mind tried to find them… but the place where they had been is now empty. And when they left, fear went with them. They were fear disguised as worry.
A worry tried to reattach itself the next day. I told it, "No — be gone." It left, and none others have returned. It has been four nights and five days. Update 7/26: Still living worry free.
Without constant worry and fear berating me day and night, I am able to be at peace. To rest in Him. To rest in His faith, His trust, and His strength like never before. I am weak, but He is strong. I am not able, but He is. I have confidence in my Lord. He is able to sustain me in my surrender. He keeps me in His care. He supplies all my needs. I will have no fear, because He is with me.
Peace and quiet are now my companions. It is strange and wonderful to live without fear. I am not trying to fill the quiet space. It is resting. It is healing. This is freedom. Christ carries everything.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you…”
Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Psalm 23:4 “I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me…”
Since January 2026, I have discovered—by proof He has supplied to me—that He has always been with me. I did not know Him, but He has always known me. This is the life I always wanted. I carried a yearning I could never understand; that was Him in me. I finally recognize the One who never left.
I do not have faith in myself at all. I rely solely on Him for everything that I am. Everything I do, everything I accomplish — is because He is with me. He guides me, teaches me, holds me up, strengthens me. My life is different because He changed me on the inside. He is healing my past, healing all the broken places. He is healing my heart. My mind is being healed by the absence of fear.
I will keep taking the next step, trusting Him to be there. I press onward toward the goal — Jesus Christ, and Christ in me.
Chambers ends today's reading with a question that goes straight to the heart...
Yes... I dare.
