Jun 11: Matthew 11:28 — His Way... Surrendered — (Today's Reading: My Utmost for His Highest)

A small child’s hand resting trustingly in the open hand of an adult, symbolizing safety, care, and childlike dependence.

Matthew 11:28  "Come to Me..."

First we are convicted of our need to be cleansed. And now Jesus is saying, "Come to Me," and I will cleanse you. And He will ... if... you will come.

You must be willing to come to Him as a little child comes to a parent when they skin their knee. He will clean it, doctor it, and put you back on your feet. You come to Him in an all-trusting manner, as to a Father, ready to lean your whole weight on Him because you know He cares for you. Then you trust Him with your whole self, and He takes it and gently restores you, but gives it back to you in better form than when you gave it to Him.

It is when we determine in our heart that Jesus is the way, and come to Him with a surrendered heart, that He can finally have His way in your life. His way is the only way. He will cleanse you; He will keep you. He will control the self, sin, and the wayward, willful will in your inner life. He can even reach the unconsciousness and heal you of defeating patterns in your life.

You will have true freedom... from sin, self, and the willful will. Your striving will end. Your inner life will become calm. He changes you from the inside out. You do not need to try to fix yourself, cleanse yourself, or anything else. He does it all. He takes all of you and gently takes care of everything.

You are still you. You still have your will, your personality, your life... but now it is better. We cannot fix ourselves, or stop sin in our life, nor can we control anything else... but He can. He heals the pain of your past. He gives your life purpose and direction. He literally changes you by the power of the Holy Spirit within. It is miraculous; it is mysterious. It is real.

Jesus prayed for us to become one with God, and this is the way. Jesus promises... I will give you life, I will make all things new, I will give you rest... He keeps all His promises in the surrendered life.

While on earth, Jesus lived this way — surrendered to the Father — yielded, trusting, and obedient in every step. His Holy Spirit expresses the life of Christ inside us now and He still desires to live that same surrendered life... through us... but He can only do that after we yield our will to Him.

So we actually grieve the Holy Spirit until we yield our will to Him and let Him take full control of our inner spiritual life. The grief is the sorrow of love hindered. He wants to pour out His love and care on us. And when we finally allow Him to do that... peace takes the place of worry and striving, and Jesus' life begins to flow. The very nature of Christ begins to glow, and the very love of God becomes a fountain rising up inside us.

How do I know this? Because on April 8th, 2026, I surrendered my will to Christ — and nothing has been the same. I am living a surrendered life now. I am experiencing everything I write about. The Lord is a witness to me, and I am a witness to you. This is His way — the surrendered way — and it is life and peace.

Prayer
Lord, open their spiritual eyes so they can see You.
Draw them in, soften their hearts, reveal their need to them.
Let them feel the gentle pull of Your Spirit, calling them to surrender with their whole heart.
I thank You, Lord, for the new life You have given me.
Let others see You in me and desire the same for themselves.
Help them see that the surrendered life is the life where You do all the heavy lifting…
where You cleanse, You restore, You heal, and You make all things new.
Let them come to You as children, trusting and believing Your promises, yielding their will, and finding the rest their soul has been longing for.
Lord, let them experience the life only You can give.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Present (John 14:9)

Today's Reading: My Utmost for His Highest Devotional of the Day — Home Page John 14:9 "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?" ...He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Philip stood in front of Jesus and still asked to see the Father. Jesus told him that seeing Him was seeing the Father. God was right there, and Philip didn’t recognize Him. We are the same way. God is with us, guiding us, steadying us, revealing Himself in quiet ways — yet we often look for something dramatic. Faith is trusting the God we cannot see, the God who is already here.   Philip wasn't asking out of rebellion.  Philip was asking out of longing — the same longing we feel. But Jesus’ response reveals something deeper:  “Have I been with you so long, and you still don’t know Me?” We want to see God with our eyes, hear Him with our ears, and sense His nearness the way we sense another person in the room. That is hum...

Meaning of Forgiveness: Key Bible Verses, Jesus' Command to Forgive, How to Forgive, and a Prayer

Devotional of the Day — Home Page Summary:  Meaning of Forgiveness Forgiveness is at the center of the gospel — Jesus commands it, models it, and makes it possible through His sacrifice. We are forgiven of every sin, even those not yet committed, and invited to receive His grace with childlike humility. Because God has forgiven us so completely, we are called to release grudges, let go of past hurts, and forgive others from the heart. Forgiveness does not require confronting anyone; it is a private act between you and God, a cleansing that frees your spirit. When forgiveness feels impossible, we can lay our pain at His feet and ask Him to remove the bitterness we cannot overcome alone. Sometimes the hardest forgiveness is toward ourselves, but Jesus meets us there too. God invites us to surrender every burden and receive His healing grace. Dec 2: 1 Peter 5:7 Do Not Worry (Daily Verse & Prayer)

Devotional of the Day — Home Page 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you ." — KJV Worry has a way of creeping into our hearts, especially when life feels uncertain. Yet this verse reminds us that we are not meant to carry the weight alone. God’s care is not distant or abstract — it is personal, tender, and constant. Every detail of our lives matters to Him. When we release our burdens into His hands, we exchange anxiety for peace. It doesn’t mean the challenges disappear, but it does mean we walk through them with courage, knowi ng the Lord is holding us steady. Today, let us practice surrender by naming our worries and laying them before Him, trusting His love to carry what we cannot. Prayer Father, I lay my worries at Your feet.  Please give me calm for my mind and courage for my work, and remind me -   You hold every detail.  In Jesus' precious, holy name I pray, Amen.  I pray your day be free from worry and your mind calm, ~ Quil ...
