2 Corinthians 6:1
"We . . . plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain"

Chambers’ devotional today is Drawing on the Grace of God—Now.
“My grace is sufficient for thee” is a verse I have heard often. I always thought it meant God’s favor that He may or may not choose to give in a moment of need. Grace was never taught in Sunday School or from the pulpit. But today I discovered that grace is supplied by the Holy Spirit Himself — a continual inner flow, like a never‑ending waterfall within us.

Grace is God giving us what we cannot give ourselves: strength, help, patience, peace, wisdom, power… just to name a few.

Grace flows from God continually — a never‑ending supply of whatever you need, abundant, full, and overflowing. If you fail to draw on it, it is like going thirsty while a fountain of clean, free water stands right in front of you, waiting for you to drink.

Our verse of the day: “We… plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” Grace is always available. We fail to draw on it simply because we were never taught how. Until today — now we know.

We never have to rely only on ourselves for strength, power, wisdom, or patience when we have a fountain of grace flowing from God. All we need do is make our request known to Him through prayer. Ask now while you are in need — do not wait.

The other day we were taught to forget about ourselves and pray for others. But you cannot pour from an empty vessel. Instead, draw on the grace of God first. We receive grace so we can give grace.

Grace is never hard to receive. If you belong to Christ and you ask for grace, you receive it immediately because the Holy Spirit Himself is the supply. Grace is not something you earn by surrendering more or trying harder. But surrender does help you experience the grace you already have. When we cling to our own strength, our own plans, or our own control, we resist the very grace that is flowing toward us. The moment we let go — even a little — we find that grace was already there, already given, already sufficient. Surrender doesn’t make God give more grace; it simply opens our hands to use the grace He has already poured into us.

When we ask God for grace, He gives it instantly because grace is the Holy Spirit supplying what we lack. We do not earn grace by surrendering more or trying harder. Grace is not withheld until we reach a certain level of holiness. It is given because we belong to Christ. Surrender simply helps us stop resisting the grace that is already ours. Grace is always available, always sufficient, and always given the moment we ask.

And Chambers says to pour yourself out, giving the best that you have, and always be poor. Do not save up any grace for later or tomorrow. Today’s grace is for today… and there will be more grace available to cover your tomorrow. Pray for grace in the moment you need it. Do not wait to pray for what you need — pray now for what you need now. God’s grace is sufficient for every moment you face.

Prayer for Grace

Lord,
I come to You as I am — weak, limited, and in need.
You never asked me to be strong on my own.
You never expected me to carry what only You can carry.
You invite me to draw near, to receive, to depend, and to rest in You.

Teach me to ask for grace.
Teach me to recognize my need without shame.
Teach me to come to You quickly, honestly, and without fear.

Give me grace for this moment —
grace for the thoughts I’m thinking,
grace for the emotions I’m feeling,
grace for the work in front of me,
grace for the people I must love,
grace for the burdens I cannot lift alone.

Let Your grace be my strength where I am weak,
my patience where I am stretched,
my peace where I am troubled,
my wisdom where I am unsure,
my power where I have none.

Lord, I receive what You freely give.
I open my hands.
I open my heart.
I open my life to the flow of Your grace.

And as You fill me, teach me to pour out —
not from emptiness,
not from striving,
but from the overflow of what You supply.

Keep me from saving grace for later.
Keep me from trying to manage life on my own.
Keep me aware that today’s grace is for today,
and tomorrow’s grace will meet me when tomorrow comes.

Thank You that Your grace is sufficient.
Thank You that Your grace is abundant.
Thank You that Your grace is always available.
Thank You that Your grace is enough for me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Breath Prayer
Your grace
is sufficient for me

Present (John 14:9)

Today's Reading: My Utmost for His Highest Devotional of the Day — Home Page John 14:9 "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?" ...He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Philip stood in front of Jesus and still asked to see the Father. Jesus told him that seeing Him was seeing the Father. God was right there, and Philip didn’t recognize Him. We are the same way. God is with us, guiding us, steadying us, revealing Himself in quiet ways — yet we often look for something dramatic. Faith is trusting the God we cannot see, the God who is already here.   Philip wasn't asking out of rebellion.  Philip was asking out of longing — the same longing we feel. But Jesus’ response reveals something deeper:  “Have I been with you so long, and you still don’t know Me?” We want to see God with our eyes, hear Him with our ears, and sense His nearness the way we sense another person in the room. Meaning of Forgiveness: Key Bible Verses, Jesus' Command to Forgive, How to Forgive, and a Prayer

Devotional of the Day — Home Page Summary:  Meaning of Forgiveness Forgiveness is at the center of the gospel — Jesus commands it, models it, and makes it possible through His sacrifice. We are forgiven of every sin, even those not yet committed, and invited to receive His grace with childlike humility. Because God has forgiven us so completely, we are called to release grudges, let go of past hurts, and forgive others from the heart. Forgiveness does not require confronting anyone; it is a private act between you and God, a cleansing that frees your spirit. When forgiveness feels impossible, we can lay our pain at His feet and ask Him to remove the bitterness we cannot overcome alone. Sometimes the hardest forgiveness is toward ourselves, but Jesus meets us there too. God invites us to surrender every burden and receive His healing grace. Dec 2: 1 Peter 5:7 Do Not Worry (Daily Verse & Prayer)

Devotional of the Day — Home Page 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you ." — KJV Worry has a way of creeping into our hearts, especially when life feels uncertain. Yet this verse reminds us that we are not meant to carry the weight alone. God’s care is not distant or abstract — it is personal, tender, and constant. Every detail of our lives matters to Him. When we release our burdens into His hands, we exchange anxiety for peace. It doesn’t mean the challenges disappear, but it does mean we walk through them with courage, knowi ng the Lord is holding us steady. Today, let us practice surrender by naming our worries and laying them before Him, trusting His love to carry what we cannot. Prayer Father, I lay my worries at Your feet.  Please give me calm for my mind and courage for my work, and remind me -   You hold every detail.  In Jesus' precious, holy name I pray, Amen.  I pray your day be free from worry and your mind calm, ~ Quil ...
